Joey's Weekly Challenge 199 - Didada

Short and to the point: Here is my contribution to Joey's weekly Challenge 200-1. The tangle is Didada and the string #237. I could have done more, but I am a bit in a hurry. There just aren't enough hours in a day!!!

Joey's weekly challenge #199 with Patterns: Didada, Narwal, Hollibaugh
Patterns: Didada, Narwal, Hollibaugh

Animal Happy Day

This is cool! Yes, it is cold outside but still, this is super cool!!

Two images I thought are a perfect way to launch animal torture awareness campaign ads. You may have similar campaigns running in your country (not mine! but we ban cigarette smoking on several tourist resort beaches as of Feb 1, 2018), but I lift my non-existing hat to Australia.

  1. A very dramatical interpretation of Joey's challenge, Susie!
The yellow Narval is a real highlight in front of the dark black background. The right one looking like a tower of pebbles gives your composition a little bit of zen feeling. I like the way you used Didada in the combination with the other patterns.

    1. Thanks, Margarete. I should have stolen your Didada idea. The best version I have seen to date. But then I am a beads junky, that might influence my judgement.

  2. I agree with you that a day has not enough hours (especially when you don't like to get up urly, like me, LOL) But again serious I love this work, beautiful contrasts between the colours and the black, wonderful drawn Narval, Hollibaugh and Didada.
Very touching video. Sometimes we can learn from the animals.

    1. Thanks for your lovely comment, Ria.
Right, me dear, and I go to bed late and get up urly, trying to get every minute of the day counting. Some may call this a desperate attempt to live life as full as I presently can.

  4. It looks stunning Susie! Last week I would have agreed with you about hours in a day but since my detached retina I'm lying down 23 hours and find it's WAY too many hours! I started my Challenge but hopefully I'll be up some time next week and can finish it.

    1. Oh, how I believe you, Trudi! And no day has passed without me thinking of you...especially when I hopscotch in the garden. 😉😉😉
Look at it from the bright side: If we lived still in the neanderthal ages you would have irreparable calluses and bedsores by now.
Oh, and thanks for the 'stunning'. Looking forward to see yours...soon.

  5. I'm going to have to look up Didada, which I've never heard of (I had to stop reading online for months) but which looks very dramatic. And Narwhal...mine always look terrible, but yours looks great.

    1. I loooooooove, loooooove, looooove Narwal, the fatter the better. And I seem drawing it the same way more or less all the time. But it is what I like and I wouldn't like a skinny Narwal. Maybe a knotted narwal? Didada was new to me as well. I like it when it looks overlapping.
