Tangle Pattern: Bresa
Inspired by...
...a short video in Pinterest. After a year of daily prompts and an additional month of daily fragment prompts I needed something super simple, no design, no special shading or dramatisation...just simple straight forward lines.
...an Icanthis study. Icanthis this and that, interlocked, as design string
lines, squared off, and outlined on my first 3Z tile.
Tangle Patterns above 4 tiles: IcanThis, Fescu inside Mooka, Sez,
Betwwed, Verve and Lines and Circles
...Shipz. Yes, why not a tile with just Shipz?
...based on a video tutorial by Alena Light: Crescent Moons. Although there is no stepout to the outlines for this particular Crescent Moons Mandala design, watching her create Crescent Moons for another tile might help.
...by an Inktober 2021 LovelyZen video demonstrating days 8 and 9, Zenith and Xac.
...Zen Linea's Tangle BitZ video: Foundabout.
...Bounees.
...Punzel. Pumzel, or Chainging for that matter, is a tangle I always get confused. I need step by step instructions for every attempt to draw it. So when I came across SandyArtStudio's slow drawn Punzel video I had to try it out. If you happen to suffer from the same confusiossis, click that link above.

Refreshers
Refresher #245 from Tanglepatterns features the tangles Chillon, Grassroots, Xadent, Divi, and Core published February 10th, 2023.Time to Kill
There we go again. If you have time to kill and love brainteasers I found some more Rebus puzzles. Don't worry, you don't need to wait for my next post to be published for the results. In case you just didn't get that one in the middle, you know, row 2, then go to the very end of this post. There, written in tiny letters in case you scrolled too early, you find the answers.
Animal Happy Day
If he is not the CATMAN...
This is the time when having the neck of a giraffe would come in handy. CO, this is also called 'wishful thinking'.
Hey Susie! Happy Day!
ReplyDeleteI love your knotted JuKaJe. I've never seen that tangle before. Will try it today. Same with Bresa. I love the broken, see-though bits. Sometimes we just need to draw... and straight lines are the way to go. Love what you've done with that piece. Really like the Doodah mandala. Doodah always looks like a zipper to me. Bounees is really cool... another tangle I don't know. I like the sci-fi look of it... reminds me of a creepy alien bug.... lol! But my favourite is the Punzel. I still can't draw that one. Yours is so detailed and intricate. Hmmm.. I might try your version in my journal.
Then... of course there is CO!! If only he were a little bit taller... lol! I wonder if he hears things through the vents? My Lilu hears the birds trying to get into the laundry vent to make nests. Thankfully the vents are caged off.
Enjoy your weather! We've just started to get the warming weather of spring! I'm sure there will be a few more days of rain to come though. Still snow in the mountains!
Be well and happy! Hugs to CO and Coal!💞
Deanne
Thank you for your lovely comment, Deanne and welcome to the club of all those making a mess with Punzel. We are still no friends, Punzel and I, but at least we buried our sharply pointed pencils. I didn't follow many video tutorials during my Zentangle journey, but now I am ready to just 'copy' others for a while. The most difficult part is to decide which of the many beautiful tuts to follow. LOL!
DeleteI hope you have time to try the DooDah mandala. She uses a compass for the string and, yes, I do not mind using tools in my works - in fact, I love it.
I am glad you like both new tangles from Step-out of the Month. If you signed up for their newsletter the April tangle is beautiful, too.
CO loves to go up under the roof to investigate. Once I locked him up unintentionally when he accessed the ceiling via the ladder I didn't remove quick enough after use. I heard the meow distress sound, but judged it must come from the outside through the open window. Finally the penny dropped and the rescue was successful. Luckily CO suffered no PTSD symptoms and the only after effect turns out to be repeat sessions. I am sure you have similar stories about Lilu. Oh those CATS!
Hugs and kisses to you, too, Deanne, and share some of them with Lilu.
I never noticed I could comment! Still loving your work and the animals. Hugs
ReplyDeleteHello Trudi, what a surprise. Really nice to hear from you again. Thanks so much for your kind words. Are you still drawing? You didn't upload for a long time and now I lost the link to your page. As for comments, for a long time I didn't activate the comments section. Anyway, I am so happy you are OK and gave me a shout-out. Hugs and kisses to you, Trudi.
DeleteDuh forgot to post my name :) Trudi
