Monotangle Mondays and 7F5R weeklies; OrgTangle 2025; Inspired by...

It’s time for another round of

Monotangle Mondays Season!

March 10 featured the Tangle of the Year: Tripoli. I’m currently experimenting with tracing paper in my ongoing quest to create translucent tiles.

For this one I doubled the tracing paper, drew Tripoli flowers on the right side of the fold and Tripoli shadows on the left. After folding and gluing the tile together, the result turned out… interesting.

The front looks pretty much the way I imagined. The back, however, simply shows plain Tripoli without the magic.

In other words: back to the drawing board. I’m clearly not there yet, but that’s half the fun of experimenting, right?

Fine - If you think my above first Tripoli tile was so far out of the box that you couldn't see the box anymore...I agree. So I drew another Tripoli tile and lured the box back in and now I am sure you agree that you can see Tripoli and the box is only just slightly to its right.

So this is my new contribution to the tangle of the year...Tripoli.

March 23 - Bronx Cheers. I am no friend of this tangle. I couldn't see myself sweating through a tile full of Bronx Cheers. But, true to my wisdom that a challenge is a challenge, I combined B.C. with two of 7F5R weeklies and created the below Buddy or Companion Challenge tile.

April 7 - Ennies with wide spreading Printemps on one of  my beautiful colored book pages. meeting Artemis II in space.

...and Ennies bumped into Artemis II in space. NASA never reported it, but I insist this is exactly what the crew saw when they looked out the window: an unidentified floating Ennies object, artistic interpretation still pending confirmation.

After I posted this Ennies tile on Zen Gulf Cafe's fb website I got the following comment accompanied by this image:

😃Ennies object in space… love the humor and the art. ðŸ˜‚
Even funnier is that AI is trying to comprehend ‘Ennies object’ and its movement. ðŸ˜‚🤣😅

Too funny!

April 13 - Finery with a little Blattwerk and some Tipple on a page out of my colored pages book.

Autangle's Bi-Monthly OrgTangle 4th Year, 2025

March 31 - August = tangle name not month (Stepout12) on one of my hardcover books' colored pages. I applied watercolor to color the tangle and the paper stood its ground. Halleluiah!

...a tile by Tomas Padros using the tangles Paradox and Betweed. I used the same string in both tiles, but on the blue tile I changed the middle part by extending Betweed coming from the edges all the way to the middle and I gave the string an organic flow. The result is quite impressive.
