December 17 - Annee XL A quick look at the tangle and my jaw pen dropped. No, not for me. This is another no-no tangle. However, in my quest to draw all prompts, I had no choice...and what an eye opener (or better attitude
changer) that was. I have never seen a tangle that looked so
intricate, complicated and difficult to put on paper that turned out to be
so easy. Annee XL! High 5!

...and that is it for this year's Advent Tangles.
If you made it all the way to the bottom of this post:
Jeez… remember this tangle? I swear it crawled out of the Zentangle attic,
dusted itself off, and said “Surprise!”
Honestly, if you saw it in a tile, would you REALLY know whether it’s Kule
or Emingle? Let’s be real… half of us would guess, hope for the best, and
move on with our lives. These two tangles are like identical twins who
insist they look nothing alike.
So I embraced the chaos. I drew two tiles with the same design. One is
“officially” Kule, the other is “officially” Emingle...and I’m pretty sure
even they can’t tell which is which at this point. 🤷♀️😉
Tangle Patterns: Kule cum Emingle

7F5R Tuesday Tangle of the Day 2025
The weeklies are back after a month of
INKtober dailies. Starting with...
November 4 - Viodora.
This is a new tangle by Susan Yeo. When I first saw it I was unimpressed. Sure
enough, after I drew the initial Viodora outlines I knew it needed
embellishing to make it interesting. So here we go, Viodora embellished and
'enlarged'. I am happy with the outcome.
Tangle Pattern: Viodora
November 18 - Pepfly
Tangle Pattern: Pepfly
November 25 - Naidiz mom with her 5 kids.

Autangle Series #4, 2025
The challenge ran in September and I am still 'catching up'. Can I say 'catch
up' when the challenge has already close its doors? Whatever it is I am doing,
I have the list and I will draw these outdated tiles come hell or high water.
So bear with me. Day 1 - 4
Day 5, September 9 - Pink and Springerz
Tangle Patterns: Pink, Sprigerz
Day 6, September 11 - Monster, Coquiflore, Junex
Tangle Patterns: Monster, Coquiflore, Junex
Day 7, September 13 - Slatz, Frozen Nandini, Kushi
Inspiration for Kushi by Moon Lee's Interwoven Love Petals tile. Moon Lee has many step by step tile designs and it is a pleasure
to follow her. I am sure this will not be the only tile I made according to
her image steps.
Tangle Patterns: Slatz, Frozen Nandini, Kushi
...still to be continued in next post...
Autangle's bi-monthly OrgTangle 4th Year, 2025
This challenge runs for a whole year and we started last month with October
15th and the tangle !ioni!. So every fortnight a new tangle is published, 2
per month.
October 31 - Azura.
I drew this complicated-looking tangle for Step-Out of the Month in
2023 three times already, but since I really like a little challenge after Kule, I fully appreciate
it.
#azura, #orgtangle2025stepout02 and #autangle2025stepout02
Trying out new paper for my tiles...some work, some not so much.
Tangle Pattern: Zefirki
Inspired by...
...Anthus, a new tangle by Maria Jose Torrado Criado.
When I first saw the name, I honestly thought it meant “a fancy little house
for ants.” But then I wondered… why the blossom? Do ants get floral real
estate now? So I asked AI (because of course I did), and it turns out Anthus
comes from the Greek word Anthos, meaning flower or blossom. Mystery solved
and no ants were displaced in the process. 🐜🌸

Refresher
Refresher #277
with tangles Hollis, Nautikl, Splish, Surya, and Oceans 13
November's brainteasers are here. Solutions are added to the bottom of the
page in tiny font so you, too, can figure out those clues before
unintentionally reading them. BTW, these 6 are 'places' teasers and 'places'
can be cities, countries, shops, buildings, etc...
Animal Happy Day
Today I introduce Bruno, a dog rescuer from Bosnia-Herzegovina's The Godfather of Dogs. I have been following him for a while now and in every
video I learned a bit more about him, his team and this mission to get dogs
off chains, out of boxes, give street dogs a home, and of course, make sure
they are healthy and treated medically if needed. His ranch is huge and pure
heaven for dogs. Most videos are in German, clicking on CC (closed caption)
will show the English translation. You will be amazed what this man has
accomplished for our 4-legged best friends.
Greetings from a pretty cold Thailand and thank you for scrolling through my post. While I am still working on September's Autangle and GratitangleZ 2025, December brings new challenges with ZHQ's 12 Days of Zentangle and Advents Tangles 2025.
We were challenged to draw variations of Coofia...so I did. Instead of a Fescu
base, I used a rough idea of the tangle Trigue and added Trigue as an
offspring.
Tangle Patterns: Coofia, Trigue
October 6 - Emingle
Tangle Pattern: Emingle
October 13 - Fife. Not much thought went into this tile. It is a quicky.
Tangle Pattern: Fife
October 20 - Gust
Tangle Pattern: Gust
October 27 - Isochor.
Isochor is a very old tangle and from my search in my website 'database', I
only drew it once before. Although this is MONOtangle Mondays, Fescu,
Tipple and some dots can be added to embellish the feature tangle (according
to my rule).
Tangle Patterns: Isochor, Fescu, Tipple
7F5R Tuesday Tangle of the Day
September 30 -2wenty2wo.
Let's just say: I did it. I might pick up the NomadZ version again, but then I
will patiently wait until the fragment version will be in January's FYI 2026.
Wanna bet? 😏
Tangle Pattern: 2wenty2wo
7F5R is running
INKtober 2025
for the month of October.
Autangle's bi-monthly OrgTangle 4th Year, 2025
Every month on the 15th and 30th or 31st a new organic tangle is introduced.
Starting with Stepout 01, published October 15th 2025, we have the tangle
!ioni! running under the specific hashtags:
#orgtangle2025stepout01 and #autangle2025stepout01
This is a September challenge, 4th year, and the prompts are published every
other day. For whatever reason I completely missed it. So it is Ketchup time.
Day 1, September 1 - Preejou and Twi6t.
Tangle Patterns: Preejou, Twi6t
Day 2, September 3 - X-Flower and Cosvis
Tangle Patterns: X-Flower, Cosvis
Day 3, September 5 - Coofia and Mosa

Day 4, September 7 - Vhain and Runy
Tangle Patterns: Vhain, Runy
...to be continued in next post...

Refresher #276 with tangles Fife, Dalaflow, Arco, Ibiscu, La-La-Lavendel
October's brainteasers. Solutions are added to the bottom of the page in
tiny font so you, too, can figure out those clues before
unintentionally reading them.
Animal Happy Funny Day
I crossed out the happy because with some of the 'fails' I thought:
Ouch! 🩹 that must have hurt.
Greetings fromThailand and thank you for visiting my October post.
