So here my contribution to IAST #209 with my first attempt at Spoken. I never expected that I would actually enjoy to draw all those little curvy spikes, but once again, I stand corrected. And, as the self proclaimed Queen of Beads, I had to add some of those, too.
Pattern: Spoken
Animal Fun Day
Question: What has a "String Thing" and a "Stick Thing" in common? (0.43)Answer: They are both fun.
So if next you think "What on earth did we do for Adele to punish us with such an impossible string?", think of this dog. In the end everything will fall into place.
This is a beautiful drawing of Spoken.Very nice is the contrast of the "bead"in the middle and the squares, "flying around", I would never thought at that but it gives a gorgeous result and I like also this thorn border. Fine work Susie!
ReplyDeleteLOL, Ria, my dear, this is a sophisticated bolder border, bolder as in rock. 😉😉😉 I tried Spoken with straight lines, but I didn't fance the results. However, the Zentangle people also made a loopy version, so I opted for curved lines and that suited me just fine.
DeleteThanks so much for leaving your very kind comment, Ria.
hi susie, i spent a long time looking at this--Spoken is a favorite of mine and i particularly like your interpretation of it here.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your lovely comment, Meridiana. To be honest, I'm not much into these kind of tangles (same as pauline's pigtails), but I felt really great drawing these lines and for the first time I wasn't afraid that I might be off on the 'other side'. I just drew one spike after an other until there was no space no more...then I added the beads lines. 🙂
