DIVA Challenge 325 - Pea-Nuckle - Update

In my post DIVA Challenge 325 - Pea-Nuckle I showed a Pea-Nuckle step-out using ovals to facilitate the drawing of this - for me - unfortunately rather difficult tangle. So I ended up with an unfinished tile and the question popped up: what now? Pea-Nuckle is not a tangle that easily integrates with other tangles - again, I speak for myself and Blogger is not responsible for this content nor does it share its view. So I tried this and that tangle and that other one, but alas!

Finally, I just plastered a few Tipples here and there, added a Zinger or two, some Ringz, Mookas with Fescu hats and a few curved lines with and without stripes. To make it pleasant looking I added pink. Pink always looks good.

Update on DIVA Challenge #325 with tangle Patterns: Pea-Nuckle, Tipple, Zinger, Ringz, Mooka/Fescu, and some loops with and w/o stripes
Patterns: Pea-Nuckle, Tipple, Zinger, Ringz, Mooka/Fescu,
and some loops with and w/o stripes

Will I ever draw Pea-Nuckles again? I actually might. I just might do it again. After all, I still have the "Inspired By..." theme going on my blog...

    1. Thank you kindly for your comment, Anne. You are correct with Tipple, but so is Hi-Cs or Tropicana, etc. if you draw them a mile away from Pea-Nuckle. 😛

  2. I agree with Anne; Tipple is made for Peanuckle and these pink ones give a wonderful touch on your beautiful tile.
Together with the other tangles, this is a very nice composition and I really hope you will use Peanuckle again, you master this tangle definitely!

    1. Thank you so much for your very kind comment, Ria. I just might. At least it made it onto my list of 'tiles to do', so that is a start.

  3. hi susie, i am so happy to have found & subscribed to your blog. i particularly like your shading on this tile--it's so well done that i'm going to study it...in case i ever do pea-nuckle again (ha ha). your step-outs have made it much more do-able for me. i do think i'll use it, but it's still just not one of my favorite tangles, and probably never will be. this tile (yours) is very lovely, and i got a chuckle out of your comments on pink!

    1. Meridiana, that 'pink' remark in my post is a very important lesson in our life. You are doing well remembering it for the rest of earthly existence. Joke aside, thank you so much for your lovely comment. You took me by surprise with your shading comment, it is definitely a first anyone told me. As for pea-nuckle: you did more for this tangle than many tanglers out there will ever do in a lifetime, even more than a whole Zentangle group of tanglers together. As for me, I added it to my list of "tangle to practice", which I rarely if ever consult. BUT (!) it is listed. I swear or all hell breaks loose.
